The book is co-authored by the founders of the civil society organisation ‘European Alternatives’,  Niccolo’ Milanese and Lorenzo Marsili.

Interviewed by Talk Europe at the presentation in London at LSE, Niccolo’ Milanese  explained how “Europe is moving towards disempowering its citizens and loosing faith in them”; then addressing the urgency of building collective and valid alternatives to change how we live and perceive our active participation to the decision making process. The book embraces the idea of a cross-border, international, active citizenship explaining how Fortress Europe “can be saved from itself by investing in its citizens and rebuilding trust”.
